Athena Herd CIC are very pleased to offer an Equine Facilitated Practitioner Diploma.
The Athena Herd team has significant collective experience and expertise in Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL). Our diverse team delivers meaningful and insightful group and individual learning, and personal therapeutic support. We offer collective and individual tailored approaches.
At Athena Herd we are passionate both about the work that we do and creating the opportunities for others to do that work
The Athena Herd team has come to together with Graeme Green of The Mindful Horse to create a series of Equine Facilitated Learning qualifications. If you are in a people supporting profession, already working with horses, or looking to develop more connected and meaningful equine interactions, then these are for you.
Our qualifications are accredited by the ACCPH. This accreditation provides assurance that our courses are of the highest standard and closely follow the benchmarks set by OFQUAL and the Open & Distance Learning Quality Council.
The Equine Facilitated Practitioner Diploma is an approximately 6 month programme. It is a mixture of direct and distance learning, supported by a number of individual case studies. The Diploma provides the theory and knowledge, as well as and core practical skills. These combine to enable students to develop and build your own equine facilitated practice.
The first onsite module of the diploma consists of four days covering the foundation skills of Equine Facilitated work. Everyone who successfully completes these days receives an ACCPH accredited Certificate in Equine Facilitated Learning. These four days can be undertaken separately as a stand-alone certification, or as the formal first step towards the full Diploma.
About the qualifications?
The Certificate is an accredited level 2 qualification and the Diploma is an accredited level 4 qualification. Click here for more formal information around the specific levels of our qualifications.
On successful completion of the diploma course you will become a professionally qualified Practitioner and will be able to join ACCPH in your own right.
